Agility CMS: February 2025 Update

Released on Feb 28: Introducing Draggable Visual Comments in Web Studio

Agility CMS: February 2025 Update

The February 2025 release of Agility CMS is full of helpful features. You can visit the Agility CMS Roadmap to see all of them.

There is one feature, however, that deserves the spotlight: Draggable Visual Comments in Web Studio.

How Does It Work?

A picture is worth 1000 words and a video is worth 1000 pictures. So, let Dakotah Godfrey, Frontend Developer at Agility, show you Draggable Visual Comments. Take it away, Dakotah:

Get Better Context

Leaving comments in Web Studio helps users understand what changes or edits must be made. But if you want users to understand what needs to change – and where – Draggable Visual Comments do just that.

After leaving a comment in Web Studio, drag it to the exact spot on the page it’s referring to. For example:

  • Does an image require updating? Put the comment directly next to it.
  • Need to change some text? Place the replacement text into a comment and then place the comment directly where the new text should be.
  • Want to change the color of a button? Make it clear what button should be updated to which color.

Once the comment is in place, it stays in place until it’s resolved. This helps with accountability and visibility.

Reviewers don’t have to worry about their requests being misinterpreted. Editors easily and accurately follow the comments and make the needed changes. The potentially endless back-and-forth of “What do you mean by this?” or “This needs to change, but not that.” is replaced with helpful comments in helpful places.

As it should be.
